FIT TOGETHER WITH JOHN HARRIS

From a morning yoga session to a high-energy six-pack workout. For many John Harris members, the group fitness offering is an ideal addition to their holistic workout plan.

What the perfect start to the day might look like? For John Harris members, perhaps with a round of wake-up yoga: yogis in the group class wake up with a sun salutation on the fitness club's spacious terrace with a view of the Graz Opera. Wake-up Yoga® has become a trend; it provides the body with energy and helps start the day in a balanced way. The mind is awakened, the metabolism is stimulated and the circulation gets going. The early morning yoga session also has another advantage: the head is still free of the stressful thoughts of the day, and so it is easier to switch off to concentrate on the exercises.

Here we introduce you to some of the many different group class programs we offer with a John Harris membership:

John Harris HIIT

The acronym stands for High Intensity Interval Training and, as the name suggests, it is a workout that is phased. Basically, there is always a high-intensity phase, which is followed by a recovery phase. This rhythm can then be repeated as often as desired.

The goal, of course, is to steadily increase the number of phases over the course of the workout: 30 minutes of high-intensity interval training, focusing on strength, speed, endurance and stamina. The miracle cure for a crisp butt and well-toned abs.

Fascial Training

Fascia training is ideal for dedicated athletes, but also for people who often and for a long period of time work in postures that are not conducive to good health. During fascia training, you work with your own body weight, mainly on the floor. During this training, one massages and stimulates the body's own fasciae with a fascia roller.

The fascia roller is, of course, provided for the course in the John Harris premises. The fascia training is also available as an aqua version.

Stretching

Maintaining the mobility of joints and muscles is a prerequisite for healthy movement patterns. This, in turn, protects against various problems of the musculoskeletal system that occur more frequently with increasing age.

A stretching program that can be practiced independently of any athletic activity is therefore widely recommended. And offered at John Harris Fitness. Be flexible!

Who doesn't dream of a visually appealing six-pack? But what's the best way to get in shape and why is it so important to train the abdominal muscles in a focused way?
