In reality, the human body can also react unfavorably to protein components found in milk. This is a more intricate situation, given the diversity of milk proteins. The primary protein in animal milk products is casein, which exists in all types of animal milk, such as cow, goat, sheep, and mare milk. Additionally, there's whey protein specific to cow's milk, along with unique protein components found in the milk of goats, sheep, and mares. Intolerances can develop to any of these protein components.

When facing milk intolerance, it's crucial to identify the specific component causing the reaction. If lactose intolerance is identified, switching to lactose-free dairy products can be beneficial. However, if the intolerance is linked to milk protein components, opting for lactose-free products won't alleviate symptoms, as the problematic protein remains.
