Ashtanga Yoga is a more intense workout than Hatha Yoga. There is a smooth transition from one exercise to the next. Ashtanga Yoga is the basis for the popular Power Yoga. Here, the exercises are basically always completed in the same order. Ashtanga is supposed to lead to more calmness and balance without meditation and calm exercises, but through sweaty training.
